Potty Training...yes the 2 words us moms all dread, right?

Potty training. The days/weeks/months I dreaded for. It can be frustrating and rewarding all at the same time. Wyatt turned 3 in July and I thought it was time to give it a shot. I am learning it is not an easy task and it is definitely not worth getting frustrated about. Yes, it has been 3 weeks and he still won't go # 2 in the toilet. Oh, and he even had 2 pee accidents today. Once while I was with a client, the other, while at the store. Yes, he makes mistakes. Just like any other kid. I know there are people out there that look at him and think he should be old enough to go on the potty. Especially those who have children YOUNGER than him that already go on the potty. EVERY CHILD IS DIFFERENT! Some take longer and need more time. So please don't judge:) We are both doing the best we can in our potty training adventure:)
I have talked to so many different mom's and it is making me feel so much better. I have felt so much pressure to get my kid trained immediately... Like if he doesn't get it in 2 or 3 days then we are failing. If you know Wyatt, you know he has a mind of his own, is very stubborn but is also a very smart child. He will go when he is ready! I can't be there 24-7 to help him do the potty thing, especially being a part time working mom. So YES, there WILL be accidents...and its okay! Some mom's have told me that their kids weren't ready until they were 4. Other moms have said their pediatrician told them "what kindergartner do you know who isn't potty trained?" They just eventually get it! So for all those moms out there in the same boat as me...don't give up! Don't get discouraged. My child is not perfect. He will get it sooner than later...so will yours! Each child's brain works differently and the potty training thing clicks at different times for different children:) That's what makes us all unique. So proud of my little man for trying and doing his best:)
 GO WYATT!
