It's beginning to look {and feel} a lot like ChRiStMaS!!!

Hello friends, sorry for the super lonnnggg post ;) Figured since it has been a while, I had some catching up to do.

I made a tree skirt this year for my Christmas tree and love the way it turned out. Super easy to do. Lots of strips of burlap and white fabric, about one hundred sticks of hot glue haha, lots of pinning and burnt fingers, ouch...

 And....VOILA!

Christmas decorations!!! I will be honest with you, I hate dragging all of my Christmas stuff out but once its up I LOVE it! I know, I am crazy. If it weren't for Klete, I don't know if I'd get it out. Okay, okay just kidding...I would. I just hate the mess. OCD? Yes. Hate putting it all away after Christmas is over? Yes.
Now I am sounding like SCROOGE...haha...moving on...

Here is my tree this year decorated from top to middle so I don't have to worry about my little's pulling off ornaments all day long :)

 Stockings hung? Not quite :)
My talented sister in law made these beautiful stockings for us (not the long sock-looking stocking) a few years ago and I have yet to find the perfect stocking hangers...maybe I will have to make something myself ;)

Boat parade at Tempe Town Lake:
My dad likes to decorate his boat all up in lights and drive in the boat parade they have every year at Tempe Town Lake. It's a fun tradition. He decorated his boat like Rudolph and he pulled Santa and his sleigh behind the boat.

 Hudson waving to the large crowd that lines up along side the entire lake to watch! (Do you see Rudolph's nose behind Hudson?) :)

My creative dad/mastermind behind all this :)

Taking turns driving papa's boat

Visiting Santa!!!
 We were just a weee bit excited to see Santa can ya tell? {Wyatt}

We are so excited for Christmas and so grateful for the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. We are excited for presents and family time and especially for our special present from our Heavenly Father to arrive in about 20 more weeks!
 Can't wait to have another brother or possibly sister joining our family early May!

and last but not least...we are looking forward to this Elder's return home this Tuesday!!!
What a wonderful Christmas it will be! ...
I am so thankful for my Savior and all he does for me. I am so incredibly blessed. I hope we can all feel his love and spirit this Holiday season. May you all have a wonderful Christmas & Happy New Year!

Juvenile Diabetes Walk 2012-Sat. Nov. 3rd

In loving memory of my mother Sherry Dee Burrell
who passed away 12 years ago from complications of Juvenile Diabetes. Also, in honor of Mary our sister in law who suffers today with this disease.

I had the opportunity to go on the Juvenile Diabetes Walk{5K}this year over at Tempe Town Lake. I went on this walk before, several years ago with my sister, aunt and few friends and decided it was time we go again. I think we just might need to make this a new tradition every year :) Everyone who wants to come is invited :)
 We had an even larger group this year, it was so exciting.
So grateful for everyone's love and support.

 Mary (sis in law), Me & Brecklyn (sister)

 Me & Mary-My sister in law has Juvenile Diabetes. She was diagnosed with it about 3 years ago.

My sissy & me

My aunt made these pins with a picture of my mom on them for us to wear on our shirts during the walk. {Some how mine got a couple water spots on it-not sure how} I love how they turned out though, they were perfect.

Thank you for your love, support & donations given on behalf of my mother Sherry, my sister in law Mary and towards the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

I love you mom & miss you dearly. 'Til we meet again.

hAviN' fUn :)

These 2 boys love to go, go, go...
They could seriously just play all day long.

Wyatt calls this hat his "mighty machine hat"
{He loves that show:)}

 Hudson couldn't decide what flavor of sucker he wanted, they all looked so tasty, so he opened all of them! {Please excuse my naked children haha} On hot days {Which is most days}, this is how they prefer to dress;)

"Yep, they are all yummy mom!!"

We are havin' fun. We are remodeling our master bedroom right now {I love having a handy husband who does that kind of stuff:)}, The boys are growing like weeds, Klete is getting ready to go on his elk hunt for 6 days, Tatum is going to do some shopping, crafting, painting and playing around while Klete is gone.......Klete, don't be surprised if the bank account is drained when you get home hahaha. Totally kidding. We are so ready for cooler weather, what about you??

I am alive

It's true folks, I am still alive. I am sure some of you have given up on me and my blog {haha} and I don't blame you. I have been pretty sick on and off for a while and its been a rough month but that's for another day. Anyway, I am back in business;)

I went to the dollar store today...DOLLAR TREE. Love that store! I found these cute glitter pumpkins and spiders there...

 and these cute paper lanterns...{just put a couple batteries in and they light up!}

 I was feeling crafty & had seen a couple ideas on different sites/blogs and took those ideas and came up with my own version. {The cheap version}, so this is what I did...
I bought two of these little pumpkins, a package of googly eyes and 2 different packages of foam masks.

and here is the outcome:) I hot-glued the googly eyes on and put the foam masks together with some more hot-glue then tied the little strings on the masks & put them over my little pumpkins:)

All the items I talked about in this post are from DOLLAR TREE.
I spent a total of: $13!
Cheap & easy...who doesn't love those 2 things?;)

P.S. Not sure why some of my pictures have a line through them?? Gonna blame that one on Blogger...

See ya soon!
