End of our Utah trip...Visiting the Caldwells!!!

Here we are headed out to see Klete's old Mission President & his wife-the Caldwell's. It was a 4 hour drive to Vernal, Utah from Zak & Karols home in Clearfield.

Here is their lovely home :)

Of course the first thing Hudson did was scope out their stairs!!
This kid & stairs I tell ya!

Here is what we ate dinner on-a table cloth from/made
in Ecuador. :) (Their mission)

Sister Caldwell showing us her beautiful quilt she made of her family tree. The different symbols all mean something: her sons, daughters, son in laws, daughter in laws and grandchildren.

The kids had so much fun playing at their house. She got out a bunch of toys for them and they were happily entertained while us adults got to visit :)

Yes, Klete was a little concerned about them playing with dolls and doll houses but he got over it ;)
 Zak, Pres. Caldwell, Klete

The bunch.
Elder Worthen, Klete's companion from the MTC lives next to the Caldwells and also came over to visit.
Worthen family, Knight family and our family :)

Knight, Pres. Caldwell, Rogers, Worthen :)...oh and don't forget Wyatt who snuck in the picture haha! Love this kid!

Klete's mission mom Sister Caldwell :)

Check out the gorgeous view from their front door!

Street you drive down to get to their house. All lined up with trees.

Back yard view. No I wasn't snooping around haha. Hudson ran off and into their backyard and so as I chased him down I figured "Hey! Might as well get a shot of their back yard view!" ;)

Look what Wyatt did when he noticed the sprinkler was on! He stripped down...luckily just took his shirt off haha.
This kid is one of a kind. He is not shy at all. He even called Pres. Caldwell grandpa and jumped right onto his lap. It completely caught President off gaurd but he was totally sweet and didn't mind. They have lots of grandchildren so are very used to children. Good thing!

The Caldwells are amazing people and have the most sincere hospitality. They took us in like we were their own children and fed us and visited for the longest time. We didn't want to leave. Wish we could have stayed longer. They invited us to spend the night (That's how kind & welcoming they are) but we figured with all of our kiddos, the sleeping arrangements could get a little hectic. So, we drove back another 4 hours to the hotel in Clearfield.
Those 8 hours driving time-even though was a little stressful was SO WORTH seeing the Caldwells. We love them dearly and hope to see them again soon.

We had the best time on our Utah trip. It was a wonderful family vacation. It was much needed time away and time spent as a family. Life gets so busy sometimes but it is just so great to have the opportunity to get away for a little while and spend time with people you love. Hope we can do it again sooner than later :)
